My new GN Nitro Extreme, got it today from my local supplier.
One of the lower grade models, but at 2lb 13oz (3lb with 2.5 grips, toe guard and scuff sheet) it pings nicely.
It's a big bugger, the spine continues into the toe and the edges are huge all the way down and are still massive at the toe.
Around half heartwood, and 16 grains, very good bat for the money.
I
noticed that GN made the bat like the famous scoop, then added an extra
piece of wood into the scoop to give the bat a massive profile.

Pics in comparison to my old 2lb 15oz BAS Vampire.

Here is a Scoop Bill did, it's similar to that.

Here is the extra cleft on mine, its clear where it is.

Haven't used them in nets yet, will do next week when we start winter nets.

What is the protection like on the pads?

Went to Oz but didn't pick up any kit as I was a bit strapped for funds. Jack could only afford the powerbow because his dad was there. However, the yellow cap in that picture is a Western Australia Aboriginal Cricket cap (MoM award)!
